That depends on the age, condition and spare capacity of your board and how much load your home already draws. We check this before installing, and if the board needs work, our switchboard upgrades service can bring it up to the task.
Not always. Many home chargers are designed for single-phase supply, while some faster models are built for three-phase. We look at your existing supply and the charger you have in mind, and our mains and power upgrades cover supply changes when they are needed.
Most people choose a garage wall or a spot beside the driveway where the cable reaches the car easily. We suggest a location that suits where you park, keeps the cable run from the switchboard practical and places the charger where it is unlikely to be knocked.
